this morning I bribed Jakey.

His task?

To hold the baby long enough for me to take a few holiday card pictures.

He failed. Because the "baby was looking at him".

So, change of plans... lets just lay next to the baby...

BUT, yes I got one good one... the last one I took (my last shot is always my fave from every session... strange). But that one will be a surprise!

Jake still doesn't want to hold the baby, kiss him... or breath the same air as him.
But when he got up and we were done he said:

"I am so glad we have a baby!"

Thankful

This being the month of November and Thanksgiving, Scot and I have so much to be thankful for - especially our FRIENDS.

We couldn't have survived this last month without friends.


Thank you for

cooking meals
picking up lunch for us
mopping my floors
folding cloth diapers
sending cards
sending e mails
sending lovely packages with wonderful gifts for Finn and big brother Jake
giving hugs when we most need them
holding the baby so I can at least take a shower ;)
taking Jake for an afternoon
keeping Jake overnight while I was in the hospital
doing my dishes




for diapers (we have yet to buy any)
for lunch dates and meeting me for cheesecake
sending me important information for Jake's school so I don't have deal with it
AND offering standing in line for me to sign him up (we are talking here about hours of standing in line in the cold... at night!!!)




homemade gifts and very thoughtful ones
letting us borrow so many baby items
for long phone calls - especially the ones in the middle of the night
for driving Jake to and from school

And so much more... all of you know who you are! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
